Civilex, contracted to Laing O’Rourke, is performing construction early works at Toorak Road for the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP). An alliance of Laing O’Rourke, Jacobs and Metro Trains Melbourne will deliver the $89 million contract to construct the rail bridge over Toorak Road.
The early works have commenced with existing line marking removal, and temporary line marking, signage and barrier installation occurring. Now the installation of Type A and B fill will occur.
The Civilex BBQ truck made a visit last month and cooked up a storm for the teams working at the project site.
Civilex scope of early works at Toorak Road include:
• Haul Road construction
• Type A and B fill
• Supply and installation of geofabric
• Crane pad construction for the installation of rail bridge
• Construction of laydown areas
• Pedestrian diversion paths around the LXRP.
