Works are well underway on the Cherry Street Werribee Level Crossing Removal Project for our client Western Program Alliance (WPA).

Symal has been awarded a civil works and bulk excavation package to complete the construction of a new pedestrian underpass, along with a share-use path on the south side of the rail line.

Included in the scope of works is the installation of a storm tank, large scale drainage, drainage pump line and garden terraces on both sides of the underpass.

We’ve got four diggers on the job, with bulk excavation works carried out by Grampians Excavations.

The road bridge over the Werribee Line being constructed by the McConnell Dowell, Arup, Mott McDonald and Metro Trains Melbourne alliance will remove the Cherry Street level crossing and create safer connections for cyclists and pedestrians.
