Symal has completed the road improvement works along the Geelong Bacchus Marsh Road, as part of VicRoads Towards Zero initiative.
The safety infrastructure works were completed two months ahead of schedule. These works included three dangerous intersections on the Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road – Parwan Road, Glenmore Road and Ballan Road – have now been removed and replaced with roundabouts.
Infrastructure Project Manager Tom Watterson says, “These roundabouts will create safer intersections and reduce the likelihood and severity of crashes, without a doubt these road safety improvements will prevent road accidents from occurring.”
In addition to the roundabouts, over 5km of new guard rail was installed along Geelong Bacchus Marsh Road. We would like to thank the community for their patience during the construction.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Symal acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, sea and water.
