Together with RJE Smarter Engineering, we’ve been awarded the Collector Wind Farm balance of plant contract by global sustainable energy solutions provider Vestas in May. The Civilex – RJE Global Consortium will deliver the balance of plant work for the Collector Wind Farm, located just outside of Goulburn, NSW.

Our survey team’s drone shots showcase works on the initial road upgrade that will provide customer access to the substation works.

Construction works include the completion of 30km of access tracks to service the TransGrid substation construction and the wind turbine components delivery. We have also commenced the excavation of the turbine footings, requiring 1400m3 of excavation per footing for the construction of 54 gravity footings that will service the Vestas 226.8MW Collector Wind Farm.

Within the next two months, our team has scheduled the first turbine footing pour made up of 40 tonnes of structural steel reinforcement and 400m3 of concrete.
