As August draws to a close, we think back to this time last year when we officially launched our united company identity, Symal.
Despite the unexpected global pandemic, our team pulled together to achieve some incredible milestones over the last 18 months. Credit goes to all our teams who stepped up to implement COVID safe plans, keeping all our people, partners, and communities safe.
Across our group of companies, we’ve expanded, grown our workforce, and increased our geographical footprint into NSW and QLD, whilst opportunities in Victoria continued to boom.
In addition to uniting our Infrastructure, Structures, Solutions, Wamarra, Grampians Excavations, and Incore Developments businesses under the Symal brand, we welcomed new additions – road and rail bridge experts, Bridge and Civil and our small new works team, Contractors to broaden and strengthen our offering. There are also exciting developments on the horizon in construction waste recovery and resources which we can’t wait to share.
We packaged up our favourite highlights from the last 18 months, starting with one of our biggest ever project wins, the Chisholm Road Prison for John Holland Group and the Department of Justice. This project brought together our infrastructure and structures teams, as well as opportunities for Wamarra which created sustainable careers for Aboriginal peoples.
Thank you to all our hard-working teams and to our clients and partners for taking this incredible journey with us.
This last year has proved we’re better together.
