How’s this for a good idea?
We’re always trying to find ways to make a meaningful difference and do our bit, so when it came to finding a solution for how to thoughtfully dispose of our outdated Civilex and Conset uniforms after our company rebrand, we teamed with up Safeman.
They put us in touch with Endeavour Foundation, a Queensland based organisation that supports people living with disability in gaining employment.
Their program employs people living with disability to manufacture and repurpose materials as industrial cleaning cloths, mixed cotton, and coloured and white t-shirts which are then sold at competitive prices. All profits are invested back into Endeavour Foundation to support people with intellectual disability in gaining equal access to education, employment and life skills learning.
Endeavour Foundation awarded us a Certificate of Appreciation, and advised that the donation resulted in ongoing employment for 16 people with disability.
What couldn’t be donated was taken to Shred-X, who offer a service with 100% landfill diversion.
We’re all about making a difference in the community, and we’re thrilled to partner with Safeman and Endeavour Foundation to make that happen.
