Symal was engaged by NextGen and Beon Energy as the civil contractor for the development of a 19,000m2 solar farm located at Melbourne Airport. The new solar farm has been designed to provide power to the four passenger terminals at Tullamarine’s Melbourne Airport.
The farm includes a 10MW PV generator and MV reticulation system that will produce approximately 15% of the airport’s annual electricity consumption. Symal completed all of the in-ground electrical and communications scope of works including pits and conduits, allowing for NGE to pull cable and commission at a later date.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Symal acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, sea and water. We pay respect to their Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia’s First Peoples whose cultural practices continue today.
