APAM Solar Farm

Project completion October 2020
Location Melbourne Airport, VIC
Client NextGen Energy
Sectors Energy and renewables, Solar energy

We were engaged by NextGen and Beon Energy as the civil contractor for the development of a 19,000m2 solar farm located at Melbourne Airport. The new solar farm was designed to provide power to the four passenger terminals at Tullamarine's Melbourne Airport, with a 10MW PV generator producing approximately 15% of the airport's annual electricity consumption.

We completed all of the in-ground electrical and communications scope of works including regrading existing access roads and construction of box culverts, PFAS management (1000m3), construction of a crushed rock access track within the solar farm (7000m2), and trenching and backfilling of electrical and communication conduits within the solar farm (1700m).
