Collector Wind Farm

Located just outside Goulburn, NSW, the Collector Wind Farm was a monumental project undertaken by Symal in partnership with an electrical contractor. Together, we successfully delivered the full scope of civil works, which encompassed the installation of 54 Vestas turbines.

Our civil scope included the construction of 30km internal access roads, a 6km council road upgrade to Austroads Standards, cut to fill earthworks, crane hardstands, blade laydown areas, and the installation of power and communications conduits. Additionally, we supplied an onsite concrete batch plant to meet project demands.

The dedication of our project team was evident in their exceptional performance, surpassing key delivery milestones by providing early access to the substation bench and completing all 54 hardstands 10 weeks ahead of schedule. This proactive approach enabled our client to accelerate component deliveries and tower erection, ensuring the project's success.
