Rebuilding the Shoalhaven region after natural disasters

  • What we do

We’re on the ground in NSW helping with flood recovery efforts.

Symal was awarded the contract by Transport for NSW, Public Works, and the Shoalhaven City Council to repair the worst landslips in the region’s history. The rebuilding efforts will focus on areas that have suffered significant road damage.

Shoalhaven Mayor Amanda Findley said, ‘It’s a great relief to have a committed and experienced contractor locked in and gearing up to tackle this enormous task.’

Our strong track record for solving complex engineering challenges and delivering quality infrastructure outcomes make us the perfect partner for this project.

‘We’ve mobilised a specialised team and engaged the best local subcontractors to remediate 38 priority landslips across the council region,’ said Brad Binns, General Manager of Symal Infrastructure NSW.

Symal is all about building better together and is committed to working with the local community throughout the project – keeping our key stakeholders informed every step of the way, like at the Kangaroo Valley community meeting in March with MP Fiona Phillips.

Our goal is to ensure the impacted region is rebuilt with safe infrastructure for years to come.
