Safety isn't just a requirement at Symal, it's a shared responsibility and a core part of who we are. We look out for each other, because getting home safe, physically and psychologically, matters more than any deadline. That care doesn't stop with our own people, it extends to our partners and the communities we work alongside.
We back that belief with proactive risk identification, industry-leading systems, and ongoing investment in training and capability. It's how we keep improving, and how we've built a safety record we're genuinely proud of.
Figures reflect FY26 performance, as at 30 June 2026.
Safety7
Safety7 sets out how we identify and manage the risks we meet most often. It was built in-house, with machine operators, supervisors, project managers, safety representatives and Group Executives in the room.
Caring beyond prevention
Our commitment does not stop at preventing injuries. Early intervention and return-to-work planning keep our claim frequency low and our WorkCover premiums consistently below industry benchmarks.
Minding mental health
We're recognised as a Skilled Workplace under the Mental Health First Aid Australia Workplace Recognition Program, with 92 trained first aiders across the Group.
