2025: A year of growth, achievement and momentum

As 2025 comes to a close, it’s the perfect moment to pause and reflect on what has been an extraordinary year for Symal. Our first full year as an ASX-listed company has been nothing short of incredible—and it’s all thanks to the people, partners and communities who make Symal what it is. 

Big milestones, bigger impact 

This year, we celebrated some major milestones together. We welcomed four new brands into the Symal family, grew our workforce by 26%, and successfully delivered more than 200 projects across the country. We also celebrated our first IPO anniversary—a milestone that reflects not just growth, but the trust and confidence of our investors, partners and people. 

Our expansion continued with new offices in Brisbane, Townsville, Adelaide and our South Melbourne head office, bringing our people closer to our clients and communities. These are more than offices —they’re hubs for innovation, collaboration and future growth, and they reflect our commitment to being where opportunities and our people are. 

People at the heart of Symal 

At Symal, our culture is everything. Our people define who we are and how we work. This year alone, our teams completed over 20,000 hours of training and development, 32 graduates joined the Ignite program, and 21 ‘Make Excellence Yours’ award winners were celebrated across the Group. We’re proud to be recognised as a Gold Status Veteran Employer of Choice and to continue strengthening First Nations participation through Wamarra. 

Through Sycle and our social programs, we’ve been able to create meaningful opportunities for people in our communities—from supporting people with disabilities and those overcoming social challenges, to providing career pathways for Indigenous Australians. And initiatives like Footy Colours Day have continued to make a tangible difference, helping raise almost $1 million over the past decade, supporting children and their families in their battle against cancer. These achievements show that when we grow, we can grow with purpose. 

Delivering projects that matter 

Our people continue to deliver projects that matter—complex, high-value work that creates impact. Highlights this year include the Eastern Freeway: Burke to Tram project, the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub, West Footscray Data Centre, Myambat Explosive Ordnance Depot, and Greenline – to name a few! Across these projects, our integrated and self-performing delivery model is in action, delivering smarter, safer and more sustainable outcomes for Australia’s future. 

We don’t just focus on the biggest projects—we focus on the ones that allow us to expand our scope, showcase our capabilities and deliver with certainty. This strategy positions Symal as a trusted partner across some of Australia’s most resilient end markets including infrastructure, power and renewables, utilities, data centres, defence and building and facilities.  

Looking ahead 

Symal enters 2026 in a position of strength. Our growth strategy remains clear: disciplined expansion, strategic acquisitions, operational excellence and investing in our people and capabilities. 

Above all, we remain committed to the culture that has driven Symal for more than 20 years—one built on trust, collaboration and empowering our people to make a difference. It’s this culture that underpins every project we deliver, every client relationship we build and every milestone we celebrate. 

 

2025 has been an incredible year, full of achievements and milestones we can all be proud of. And as we look to 2026, the energy is high, the opportunities are exciting, and we can’t wait to build on this momentum—together.
