We’re pleased to welcome Alison Laing to the Symal Group as our new Chief People and Culture Officer, joining the business in January 2026. 

Alison joins Symal with a strong belief that great businesses are built by great people — and that culture, trust and clarity matter just as much as performance. Known for her down-to-earth leadership style, Alison works closely with teams and leaders to create environments where people feel supported, challenged and genuinely proud of the work they do. 

With experience across complex and fast-growing organisations, Alison brings a practical approach to leadership, talent and culture. She has led people functions at AMA Group and Bapcor Limited, partnering with leaders and teams through periods of change and growth, while keeping people at the centre of every decision. 

Alison holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management and Industrial Relations from the University of Newcastle, a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources from the Hunter Institute of Technology, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
