IWD 2025: Marching forward

  • Our culture

Symal is committed to advancing gender equality and creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported. As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made and the steps we’re taking to build a more inclusive and equitable industry.

This year's theme, ‘March Forward’, perfectly captures our dedication to driving positive change. We are proud to be a part of a movement that not only challenges stereotypes but also nurtures an environment where women can thrive.

A key part of our commitment is our Women in Construction Working Group (WICWG). This team is made up of leaders from across the Group, all working together to shape a culture where everyone, regardless of gender, is empowered to succeed. By pinpointing areas for improvement and driving meaningful initiatives, our WICWG is helping to create a workplace that supports and inspires equality and the next generation of women in construction.

So, what progress have we made up to this point?

Symal strategically developed the Women in Construction Working Group to address the challenges still present in the construction industry. We have made progress through a strong framework, and while we celebrate our achievements, we know that there’s still more work ahead.

We take pride in the strides we’ve made, but our focus is undoubtedly on the future as we continue to march forward and build a better workplace together.
