Meet our new small civil works team

  • Who we are

Committed to doing things differently and driving change, we’ve introduced a new, agile team within our group to target a gap in the market for high-quality, competitive solutions aimed at smaller civil works in the building and construction sector.

As Symal continues to grow and take on larger infrastructure projects, this newly formed team ensures we continue to deliver targeted construction solutions to the industry and remain connected to our humble beginnings.

Bolstering the strength and capability of our established Infrastructure and Structures teams, the small works team, trading as Symal Contractors delivers high quality and authentic service to the building construction industry, with a strong focus on pre-construction.

“The addition of a specialist small works team allows us to continue servicing our valuable past and present clients whilst we fulfil our strategic vision of growth, diversification, and expansion. With proven deliverables and experience in the civil space, we can confidently provide clients with competitive construction solutions and impactful management along with the high-performance and quality delivery Symal is known for.” Says Managing Director Joe Bartolo.

As a self-performing subcontractor, Symal Contractors has expertise in civil construction, drainage, concrete, pavements, and environmental abatement works.

Leading this exciting area of our business is Cameron Healy, who has been appointed as General Manager and Director of Symal Contractors. With established relationships developed over his 20-year career in the construction industry, Cameron and his team will continue to service existing clients and make an impact on this sector.

Cameron has a reputation as an innovative and agile thinker, with a team focus and a passion for developing and maintaining genuine client partnerships and collaborative relationships with builders and subcontractors.

“Developing this unique solution for clients with the Symal team is an opportunity to do things differently in our sector. I’m so excited for what the future brings for this part of the business, and to exceed expectations.” Says Cameron Healy.

Maintaining Symal’s people first culture, Cameron’s vision for the team is to create genuine development opportunities for young professionals and to strive for gender balance and equality in the sector.

Joe shares Cameron’s enthusiasm, “We’re so excited to welcome Cameron and the team to Symal. Together, we can remain flexible to industry needs and develop young talent as our company grows. Watch this space.”
