In an industry as fast-moving and complex as construction, having a clear and united strategy is more than just a competitive advantage – it’s the foundation for long-term success. We believe in aligning our ambition with action, ensuring our teams work together toward a shared vision.
Michael’s appointment reflects our commitment and marks an exciting new step in our journey.
Joining Symal at a pivotal time in our growth, Michael will play a key role in shaping and executing Symal’s strategic direction. Working alongside Joe Bartolo, Group Managing Director and Ray Dando, Executive Director of Strategy, Growth and Delivery, Michael will drive organic and inorganic growth as we continue expanding in a competitive, fragmented market.
“Michael brings the strategic clarity and executional focus we need as we continue to grow. His experience and vision will be instrumental as we scale with intent and I’m looking forward to working alongside him to shape the next phase of our growth” said Joe Bartolo, Group Managing Director.
Michael brings nearly two decades of global experience in infrastructure development and delivery. His background spans project management, business development, and operations across sectors including energy, mining, transport and social infrastructure.
Michael has played a part in developing and delivering over $100 billion worth of infrastructure projects worldwide, covering the full project lifecycle from concept to delivery and beyond. Prior to joining Symal, he worked in EY’s Strategy and Transactions division advising some of Australia’s largest energy and infrastructure projects, including Offshore Wind Gippsland and VNI-West and prior to this global companies including Fluor Corporation and BHP.
Michael’s track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering outcomes at scale makes him a strong addition to the team. His ability to lead with clarity and purpose aligns with our values and vision for the future.
We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to what we’ll achieve together as we continue building better together.
