2023 is Symal’s second year taking part in Bake A Wish, to raise some dough for Make a Wish to help grant inspirational wishes for critically ill kids.

Our teams traded the tools for oven mitts to unleash the baking magic, delivering delicious masterpieces and perhaps the odd “cake wreck”! 

But don’t judge a cake by its cover. The prestigious title of Cake Champion was not once but twice, crowned to the humble sticky date pudding – judged by our professional chef, Michele.

Barbie-mania took over our bake off, with kenergy kenough to win the hearts of the People’s Choice at HQ. While art imitated life at one of our projects where a drain design won, unfortunately, it was made over budget and over time!

Bake a Wish puts the fun in fundraising to make wishes come true. Over the past two years Symal has smashed our target to raise over $16,000 to help sick kids in need.  

Our raffle was a big driver of funds, so thank you to our valued partners (listed below) for the generous gifts. To everyone who donated their money and time to this worthwhile cause – you’re awesome!
