The Bulla Spoils Facility Containment Cell Project was initiated to address PFAS-contaminated soil discovered during the West Gate Tunnel Project.
Hi-Quality, selected as the contractor, subcontracted Unyte, formally known as Grampians Excavations to handle the excavation, treatment and disposal.
Our scope of work included:
Earthworks.
Geosynthetic liner installation.
Leachate collection system construction.
Despite a tight timeline, we efficiently completed 998,000m³ of earthworks, 187,000m² of geosynthetic liner installation, and the leachate collection system, ensuring EPA approval and operational readiness ahead of schedule.
Facing a number of challenges throughout the project, our experience and proactive approach enabled us to address design concerns and deliver exceptional results.
