Symal is proud to be part of improving road infrastructure for our community.
Stage one of road improvement works along Geelong Bacchus Marsh Road involved the construction of a new roundabout at Elcho Road, Lara, part of a $49.5 million safety upgrade between Lara and Balliang East.
Stage three works were completed two months ahead of schedule and included three dangerous intersections on the Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road. Parwan Road, Glenmore Road and Ballan Road were removed and replaced with roundabouts.
Identified as one of the highest risk roads in the state, Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road safety upgrades form part of the Victorian Government’s $1.4 billion Towards Zero initiative with the aim of significantly reducing the number of deaths and serious injuries on our roads.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Symal acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, sea and water. We pay respect to their Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia’s First Peoples whose cultural practices continue today.
