We're proud to have completed our first project with the City of Newcastle, delivering the civil works for the Memorial Drive embankment stabilisation.
This vital route, utilised by over 10,000 vehicles daily, will undergo repairs to restore a 115m-long section of the road embankment that was affected by heavy rainfall and a landslide.
The scope included earthworks, installation of bored reinforced concrete piles, concrete pile cap, barrier fencing, and embankment stabilisation. It also involved relocating and upgrading the water and gas mains, constructing a concrete footpath, realigning the kerb and gutter, installing subsoil drainage, and milling and re-sheeting the carriageway. The team also be addressed challenges such as maintaining two lanes of traffic as this section of road is essential for the local community.
Backed by the Federal Government's Roads to Recovery Program and works underway, we're proud to be have been trusted by The City of Newcastle to contribute to our local community, the home of our New South Wales office.
