Symal was awarded the contract to construct a four story Multi-Level Carpark in a complex rail environment, complementing the new railway station at Mooroolbark Train Station. The car park now provides the Mooroolbark community with 721 car spaces, available without time limits, seven days a week.
Lighting and CCTV installations enhanced security, and accessibility improvements included signage and various paintwork. We completed a ground plus three suspended level car park, handling all work from foundation (piling, footings, and pile caps), drainage, pavements, concrete structure, facade, finishes, and all services.
Working with SEPA, we constructed the car park in two halves while maintaining vehicle access and a pedestrian walkway.
A joint venture between Symal Infrastructure and Wamarra, we provided over 9,000 hours of Aboriginal engagement to our workforce and exceeded our Indigenous target.
