Toll embarked on staged upgrades to its terminals at Webb Dock and Burnie as part of a $311 million investment to boost capacity for the Bass Strait trade. Symal delivered the upgraded Toll Shipping’s terminal at Webb Dock, Melbourne creating more than 150 construction industry jobs in Melbourne.

As a principal civil contractor, our scope included demolition and bulk earthworks, new in-ground services including fire, water, sewer, electrical and communications, new light poles up to 30m tall, 55,000m2 deep lift asphalt pavement, 22,000m2 of heavy-duty post-tension and reinforced concrete slabs, new 1,900m2 workshop building with refuelling bays, gatehouses and extensions to existing warehouses of 6,000m2 and finishing elements included automated gates, line marking and concrete barriers.
