Symal welcomes Michael Suddes as GM of Plant, People & Logistics

We’re excited to welcome Michael Suddes as our new General Manager of Plant, People & Logistics (PPL). 

Michael joins Symal at a pivotal time as we continue to expand our national footprint and prepare to relocate to a new, purpose-built facility in Avalon in early 2026. He will play a key role in shaping our asset management strategy, overseeing plant and maintenance operations, ensuring project plant needs are met, and managing our light vehicle fleet—all while driving safety and efficiency across the business. 

Bringing a wealth of industry experience, Michael has previously led large teams and driven continuous improvement as GM of Goldsmith Civil and Environmental and Goldman Excavations. He also spent 15 years at Boral, holding various roles, including Operations Manager for the Southern Region, where he gained extensive expertise in quarrying, concrete plants, and heavy industry operations. 

Michael is passionate about safety, sustainability, and collaboration. He looks forward to working with the Symal team to optimise asset utilisation, enhance efficiency, and contribute to long-term success.
