Wamarra says hello to Wagga Wagga

  • Our culture

What a day it was celebrating the opening of Wamarra's new office at 112 Fitzmaurice Street on Wiradjuri Country.

Wamarra's expansion into the Riverina region has been a long-standing aspiration of Managing Director, Hayden Heta, who is a proud Wiradjuri man with strong ties to the area. With over 30 guests, they kicked off with a warm Welcome to Country by Wiradjuri Elder Aunty Cheryl Penrith, followed by traditional dance from the Dinawans Connections.

Hayden shared Wamarra’s journey and his passion and commitment in maximising the social impact for the local Aboriginal community, and Adam Salamone, General Manager, highlighted the importance of building meaningful partnerships as well as providing an overview of local pipeline of works.

Thank you to representatives from CPB Contractors, Downer, Duratec, Origin Energy, Eastern Property Services Pty. Ltd., TVN On-Country, Dinawans Connections, Aunty Cheryl and family and friends for attending our event.

The entire team is excited to be part of this wonderful community and are looking forward to continuing to create rewarding career opportunities for locals.
