Symal has successfully delivered critical civil works for two major renewable energy connection points in Victoria – the Goorambat East Terminal Station and the Pine Lodge Terminal Station.
At Goorambat, we delivered site preparation, earthworks, hardstand pavements, electrical and stormwater services, water and septic tanks, piling and structural concrete works. This new 220kV AusNet Services Terminal Station connects the nearby 250MW solar farm to the grid, enhancing clean energy generation for the state.
At Pine Lodge, near Shepparton, Symal delivered the construction of a 220kV switching yard to support a 250MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Our scope included earthworks, hardstand pavements, electrical and stormwater services, fire systems, water and septic tanks, piling and structural concrete. We completed 180 piles in just four weeks, reaching practical completion on time despite a tight footprint and schedule. An innovative pile cap blinding method reduced silica exposure risks, improved safety and delivered significant time savings – a clear win for efficiency and execution.
Together, these projects enhance Victoria’s energy infrastructure, enabling renewable energy integration, improving grid reliability and supporting the state’s transition to a cleaner future.
