Limondale Solar Farm BESS

Symal wrapped up civil construction works in March, 2025 at the Limondale Solar Farm Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for our client, Beon Energy Solutions.

The project was delivered in two key stages:

Stage 1 involved bulk earthworks, subgrade treatment, drainage culverts, drainage swales and pavement works using cement-treated crushed rock, crushed rock and select fill.

Stage 2 included installation of electrical and communications conduits, pits, and risers; FRP of foundations for MV transformers, RMUs, distribution boxes, diesel generator, auxiliary transformer, and step bases; bored piers; screw piling; earth grid trenching; and final as-constructed documentation.

Working in a remote location presented unique challenges, with most of our team living away from home on a 10-4 roster. Despite this, the team delivered safely and efficiently, supporting Beon Energy Solutions in progressing this important battery storage project that will enhance grid stability and renewable energy capacity in the region.
