But one of our most significant milestones came in FY26.
Wamarra was awarded the $40 million head contract to deliver an expansion of the Myambat Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Facility in New South Wales, a priority defence program delivered through the Commonwealth’s Indigenous Procurement Policy, with the support of Symal’s infrastructure delivery team.
The project is an important step forward for Wamarra, building capability and experience in the defence sector while creating opportunities for our teams to deliver more together.
“Symal Group has a diverse offering that services a number of Defence requirements, and we’re only going to grow that larger. We have an expanding national footprint, and that will continue,” says Christian George, National Lead - Defence and Emergency Management.
That capability grew further with the acquisition of Shamrock Civil.
