Delivered for Sarah Constructions on behalf of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, the project saw Davison deliver the bulk earthworks and civil package for one of South Australia’s most significant cultural projects.
The Yitpi Yartapuultiku Aboriginal Cultural Centre is a landmark destination celebrating Kaurna culture and creating a place for learning, connection and community.
Over a 15-month program, the Davison team delivered bulk earthworks, drainage, remediation and pavement works, along with more than 45,000m² of geogrid and geofabric installation.
One of the key parts of the project was developing a solution to screen, remediate and reuse contaminated material on site as engineered fill. This meant the material could be kept on site rather than sent away for disposal.
The team also delivered full capping requirements while protecting every existing tree on the site and worked closely with Sarah Constructions and other contractors throughout the external works program.
Getting the job done took strong planning, coordination and a team that knows how to work through the details on the ground.
Davison worked alongside Sarah Constructions and multiple subcontractors throughout the project to keep works moving and meet key project milestones.
