At Symal, we believe that how we deliver is just as important as what we deliver. We take pride in our ability to think and act quickly, adapt to changing circumstances, and deliver successful outcomes for our clients. Our very own Eve Smolinska consistently demonstrates these standards in her leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to overcome challenges, earning herself a reputation across the industry as a star on the rise.
In recognition of Eve's efforts in completing the Fishermans Bend Early Works Project, she has earned a nomination for the 2024 NAWIC Project Delivery Award. This prestigious award celebrates the skills and contributions of project delivery professionals on projects that have reached a significant milestone or practical completion. Eve’s impact on this project has been extraordinary.
In her role, Eve managed the project’s complex civil works, which included demanding tasks like demolition, concrete recycling, and the remediation of contaminated sites under strict asbestos regulations. Her leadership, strategic insight, and steadfast support for the project team were instrumental in the project's success.
Her pivotal moment came when she assumed additional responsibilities due to resource constraints, stepping up to manage client relations and end-of-month reporting. This proactive approach not only ensured project continuity but also earned senior management's trust, elevating her responsibilities on-site to encompass client liaison, leading weekly meetings, and monthly claim and report submissions.
Recognised with the 'MVP Award' on site, Eve was praised for her work ethic, meticulous quality assurance practices, and continuous support for the project team. Her contributions were integral to the successful delivery of the Early Works, laying the groundwork for future stages of the development at Fishermans Bend. Eve's commitment to excellence and proactive problem-solving skills position her for continued success in her recent promotion to Senior Project Engineer.
Congratulations to Eve on her nomination.
