As we embrace the next step in Symal's journey, we welcome our new Board of Directors.

Our directors offer industry knowledge, financial expertise, and governance.

The founding shareholders, Joe Bartolo, Andrew Fairbairn and Ray Dando will remain on the Board, and we welcome our new Chair, Peter Richards, and Independent Non-Executive Directors, Ken Poutakidis, Anne Lockwood, and Shane Gannon.

Peter Richards - Independent Chair
Peter has over 40 years of experience in operations and business development across Australia, the UK, and the US. He has held key leadership roles, including Chair of EMECO Holdings Limited (2016-2024), Chair of Spenda Limited since 2018, and Chair of GrainCorp Limited since March 2020. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia and is known for his expertise in navigating complex business environments.

Ken Poutakidis - Independent Non‑Executive Director
Ken has extensive experience in corporate strategy and financial management. He was the Corporate Finance Managing Partner at Findex, specialising in capital raising, mergers, and corporate advisory. He founded Avenue Advisory, assisting startups with financial challenges, and has held leadership roles as Chair and Non-Executive Director for ASX-listed companies. Ken also founded Theofilos Foundation, a charity focused on improving educational outcomes. His career highlights contributions to financial advisory, corporate governance, and philanthropy.

Anne Lockwood - Independent Non‑Executive Director
Anne is a finance professional with over 30 years of experience in finance, risk management, and audit, particularly in mergers and acquisitions. She has been the Chief Financial and Commercial Officer at ASX-listed Integral Diagnostics and the Chief Financial Officer at Planet Innovation. Recently, she became a Non-Executive Director at Mayne Pharma and Genetic Signatures. With a solid background in accounting and audit from Arthur Andersen and EY, Anne holds a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and law and is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Her career is marked by strategic vision and a commitment to corporate governance excellence.

Shane Gannon - Independent Non‑Executive Director
Shane has over 40 years of experience in ASX-listed industries, including real estate and mining services, and has served as CFO for companies like Mirvac Limited and Endeavour Group. He held key roles at Lendlease and is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director at GPT Group and Ingenia Communities Group. With a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and recognition from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and CPA Australia, Shane brings valuable expertise in corporate governance and finance to Symal’s Board to support its strategic growth.
