Merimbula Airport named Best Small Regional Airport 2022

Congratulations to the Bega Valley Shire Council for winning the Best Small Regional Airport of the Year at the 2022 National Airport Industry Awards for the Merimbula Airport – the Gateway to the Sapphire Coast.

This is a significant achievement for the region and the Symal Group, who worked closely on this project.

Symal delivered a complete upgrade to the existing runway, and we’re extremely thrilled to be part of the significant milestone and grow our delivery capabilities in NSW.  The Merimbula Airport provides essential links for professional, legal, specialist and medical services as well as passengers for tourism, employment, and business.

Well done to the NSW Symal team and the Bega Valley Shire Council for investing in future-proofing infrastructure.
