Located in the Elgin/Nicholson Street precinct, the project required replacing 56 social housing walk-ups with three new buildings, with 120 private apartments and 112 social housing apartments for the Department of Human Services. Symal completed works over 3,600sqm across seven levels, including concrete structures and footings, all vertical and horizontal concrete, suspended slabs in-situ walls, post-tension and reinforcing works.
Stage 6 of the Living Carlton project was a part of a total of 246 social housing apartments, over 800 private apartments, 160-bed aged care facility and approximately 180 independent living units. Located on the corner of Rathdowne Street and Colgan Street, structures’ works covered over 15,000sqm across 13 levels, including three levels of basement car park. Symal undertook the full structures package which included formwork, concrete, post-tension and reinforcing works.
